Taykey is an advertising app that tracks trending topics on social media and the Internet 24/7 and then places clients’ ads next to them. The company has been in business for six years but has grown 600 percent in the last two years.
Here’s how it works: instead of planning ahead for what is likely to be popular, say the Super Bowl, advertisers can use Taykey’s platform to react to online trends in real-time. According to Taykey, its click-through rate is 50 percent higher than the industry average.
Marketers with information geared toward a specific audience can use Taykey to promote their event during prime-time. Disney, Proctor & Gamble, Coca-Cola and GE are all brands that have used Taykey’s services.
Social Media News: Facebook at Work Now Available
Facebook will soon be accessible at work, for work-related data. Facebook at Work was recently released as a site and as an app to a few companies, encouraging employees to communicate more efficiently within their business.
Users stay active by sharing work-related issues with colleagues using messages, groups and posts. In addition, users can follow a colleague or executive without sending a friend request, keeping things professional.
Facebook at Work is still in its early stages, with more information on the social networking business-world app coming in the next few months.
Social Media Tip of the Month:
Save Facebook Content for Later
Facebook has made it easier for readers to save content to read or watch at a later date. To save content, click on the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of a post and click “Save [article title].” When you want to view your saved content, click on the “Saved” link in the left column, under “News Feed.” This works similarly on your mobile device.
