Brian Lee, APR, is the president of Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media, an integrated communications agency he founded in January 2011, as well as a part-time lecturer on social media at Madison Area Technical College. InBusiness Magazine named Brian to its "40 Under 40" list in 2012, and PRSA-Madison named him its 2013 Communicator of the Year.
His expertise has provided him opportunities to speak and guest lecture regularly on public relations, crisis communications, digital marketing and social media. Brian also is an instructor in the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation's UpStart program for female and minority entrepreneurs.
Brian earned his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2011 and a certificate in reputation management in 2017. In 2015, he was selected for the State of Wisconsin's Business Intelligence Team (a part of the National Center for Economic Gardening) as a digital marketing specialist who works with second-stage companies throughout the state.
For board service, Brian served as the president of PRSA-Madison, Ad 2 Madison and Friends of Madison Student Radio. On the national level, he served as the treasurer for Ad 2 and two-year terms for PRSA and the PRSA Foundation. Brian currently serves as an ambassador for Downtown Madison, Inc.
Before launching Revelation, Brian was the communications director at another agency. Outside of the agency world, Brian worked in sports PR for five years, including three years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Beyond athletics, he has worked at the Wisconsin State Journal, UW Health and Wisconsin Public Television.
A serial entrepreneur, Brian is the editor-in-chief of Madison Startups, an online publication that covers startup news in town. He also runs EatDrinkMadison.com, a Madison, Wis., restaurant and bar guide that is searchable by amenities, and he hosted a restaurant TV show on the local CW affiliate called "Open Seating."
Brian graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in journalism and major in strategic communications.
Taylor Kennedy is a PR counselor at Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. Prior to Revelation, she worked in athletic communications, including at the University of Illinois, the Big Ten Conference and the United States Olympic Committee.
A board member of Ad 2 Madison, Taylor graduated from Purdue University with a degree in public relations and rhetorical advocacy. She loves to travel, cook and stay fit, and she teaches PiYo.
Brooke Weiland is a graphic designer for Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. She has a background in marketing and communications from her work-study position at Edgewood College, where she graduated with a degree in graphic design and photography.
Brooke is a member of Ad 2 Madison, and she enjoys spending her free time outdoors as well as drawing and painting.
Becca Berkenstadt is a digital marketing strategist for Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. Berkenstadt's Internet marketing knowledge and expertise stems from founding her own digital marketing company, Worldly Strategies, LLC, and her experience working for Networked Insights (Madison, Wis.), The Coleman Entrepreneurship Center (Chicago) and Blackglass (Sydney, Australia).
In addition to her hands-on experience in the marketing field, Berkenstadt has certificates in Pay-Per-Click Marketing, Online Marketing and Website Design from DePaul University’s Continuing Education Program and a certificate in Mobile Marketing from Sydney University’s Continuing Education Program. Becca also is a Google Adwords Certified Professional as well as Marin Certified.
