Brian Lee, APR, is the president of Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media, an integrated communications agency he founded in January 2011, as well as a part-time lecturer on social media at Madison Area Technical College. InBusiness Magazine named Brian to its "40 Under 40" list in 2012, and PRSA-Madison named him its 2013 Communicator of the Year.
His expertise has provided him opportunities to speak regularly on public relations, crisis communications, digital marketing and social media to groups that have included the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, the University of Wisconsin School of Journalism, several trade associations and five area colleges/universities.
Brian, who earned his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2011, owns the distinct privilege of having served as president of both the PR group (Public Relations Society of America) and advertising group (Ad 2 Madison) in town. He also was president of the governing board for WSUM-FM and treasurer of the national executive board for Ad 2. Brian currently serves on the PRSA National board of directors and the Center for Community Stewardship board of directors.
Prior to agency life, Brian worked in sports PR for five years, including three years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Beyond athletics, he has worked at the Wisconsin State Journal, UW Health and Wisconsin Public Television.
Outside of Revelation, Brian is the editor-in-chief of Madison Startups, an online publication that covers startup news in town. He also runs EatDrinkMadison.com, a Madison, Wis., restaurant and bar guide that is searchable by amenities, and he hosts a restaurant TV show on the local CW affiliate called "Open Seating." Brian graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in journalism and major in strategic communications.
Amy Asmus is a senior graphic designer at Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. In addition to running AAA Designs, she has served as the graphic designer at a marketing and design company in Madison as well as the advertising coordinator at OshKosh B’Gosh.
Among her accolades, Amy has been honored by the Printing Industry of Wisconsin with the Badger Best of Category Award. A native of Monroe, Wis., Amy holds a marketing degree from Fox Valley Technical College and a graphic design degree from Madison Area Technical College.
Becca Berkenstadt is a digital marketing strategist at Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. Berkenstadt's Internet marketing knowledge and expertise stems from founding her own digital marketing company, Worldly Strategies, LLC, and her experience working for Networked Insights (Madison, Wis.), The Coleman Entrepreneurship Center (Chicago) and Blackglass (Sydney, Australia).
In addition to her hands-on experience in the marketing field, Berkenstadt has certificates in Pay-Per-Click Marketing, Online Marketing and Website Design from DePaul University’s Continuing Education Program and a certificate in Mobile Marketing from Sydney University’s Continuing Education Program. Becca also is a Google Adwords Certified Professional as well as Marin Certified.
Alexandra Offerdahl is a communications specialist at Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. Her experience with startups has allowed her to gain hands-on experience in managing social media accounts and developing digital brand strategies.
Alexandra graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in life sciences communications and a certificate in digital studies. She is a huge Packers fan and loves to travel.
Emilie Buckman is a communications specialist at Revelation PR, Advertising & Social Media. While pursuing her degree in communications from UW-Madison, she interned with United Way of Dane County in the marketing department.
Following college, Emilie worked for a for a full-service advertising agency in her hometown of Green Bay, Wis. Outside of work, she enjoys taking pictures and doing freelance photography for a variety of events.
